Michael Jarvis is a knowledgeable practitioner and consultant in the downstream oil sector with over 40 years of experience. He has a comprehensive understanding of crude oil and products trading, hydrocarbon price risk management practices, international marketing of speciality fuels, supply planning and logistics and refinery operations. He has worked overseas for Shell in both Venezuela and the USA and has travelled widely in developing world areas gaining global business experience.  Initially with Invincible Energy and latterly IHRDC-Invincible Energy he has developed and presented a wide range of training courses across the world.

Michael has acted on a variety of undertakings for major oil companies, state organisations and producer companies providing advice on functional and strategic aspects of their businesses.  In addition Mr Jarvis deals with local government and third sector organisations providing consulting services on organizational change, and competencies for welfare provision and reform.

He has links with other specialist in the industry to call upon when necessary if additional manpower or a different skill base is required.

He studied chemical engineering at the University of Surrey and has post graduate business training. He is a Chartered Engineer with the Institution of Chemical Engineers and a member of the Energy Institute.
